Jifteco’s mechanical protection product against ungulates is used to safeguard pine and spruce seedlings from bark and shoot damage during the first years after planting.

The use of such mechanical protection is particularly important in the first 2–4 years, while seedlings are establishing and becoming less attractive to browsing animals.

The protection product:

• provides long-lasting effectiveness over several years, until the seedlings reach sufficient height and resilience;
  
• does not interfere with the seedlings’ physiological processes, allowing free air circulation and light penetration;
  
• reduces the need for frequent reapplications, unlike chemical repellents.
