In the first half of the project implementation, seven activities were initiated to achieve the project's goal. Improvement and adaptation of the formula for industrial application - during the research, 42 different repellent formulas were developed, from which potentially the most effective 6 repellent formulas were selected for further studies. These formulas were produced on a larger scale to be used for spraying on young seedlings. Industrial application (at the end of the season) was carried out on one-year-old conifer seedlings in the nursery. Its effectiveness is being monitored. In the tree nursery, an evaluation of the selected repellent formulas was conducted, with parameters such as coverage formation and ease of spraying being considered. Conclusions were drawn. Additionally, the prepared repellents were sprayed on young seedlings where a high prevalence of pests was observed. Test plots will allow the assessment of the repellent's properties under field conditions, the suitability of spraying technology, and the durability of the repellent. ______ SIA Jifteco has concluded on 08.07.2022 contract No. SKV-L-2022/296 with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia for receiving support within the framework of the "Promotion of International Competitiveness" measure, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. |
